Tuesday, September 3, 2019—Join us tomorrow for our Fall Open House. This is great opportunity for families to not only meet their teachers, but to take a school tour, meet with administration, receive policy information and of course to drop off school supplies. The Open House will be split into two groups based on grade level.

• Kindergarten - 2nd Grade: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
• 3rd Grade - 4th Grade: 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Friday, August 30, 2019 - Just a friendly reminder, there will be no school on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day. The First Day of School is Thursday, September 5th. Have a happy and safe Labor Day weekend, Atoms!

Friday, August 9, 2019—It's the most wonderful time of the year, School Supply List time. While summer is still in full swing, we want to make sure our Atoms are prepared for the First Day of School on September 5th. Head to our Supply List section, which can be found on the homepage, to view the complete list of items needed for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Supply Lists are broken down by each grade. Friday, August 2, 2019—As the saying goes, "you are what you eat." But did you know that healthy eating and physical activity are just two components that can make up and help increase a students' ability to learn? Join us for our first ever Wellness meeting on Wednesday, August 7th from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will be discussing topics such as:

• How an environment can support a students' well-being
• How creating an environment can support a students' health and wellness
• How healthy eating and physical activity can support a students' ability to learn … and more!

The meeting will be held at Syracuse Academy of Science High School's main conference room. Please enter through the West Genesee Street entrance. Parking will be made available on Lakeview Avenue. We hope to see you there!

Buying a home can be an overwhelming experience. At the #SASCCS we believe in supporting our #SASCAtoms and their families in the pursuit of their dreams. We have partnered with Empower Federal Credit Union to host a series of financial workshops titled "Empowering Atoms. Our next workshop will focus on all the steps involved in buying a home. We are here to support your dream of home ownership. These workshops are free and open to members of the #SASCCS community. The workshop will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. in the 301 Valley Drive Cafeteria. RSVP with Ms. Lloyd by calling the main office and letting them know you are planning on attending.

During the month of October,#SASCCS will be collecting new socks for our Socktober giving drive. At the end of the month, we will be donating our collection to children in need of socks for the upcoming cold months. We are teaching our #SASAtoms about altruism and are excited to start changing the world one sock at a time.
