He has recorded and/or performed with many of the world’s top performers in many genres of music such as: Chuck Loeb, Maysa, Kim Waters, Nick Colionne, Special EFX, Pieces of a Dream, McCoy Tyner, Gerald Levert, Teddy Pendergrass, Nnenna Freelon, Philip Bailey, the Dixie Hummingbirds, John Blake, Phil Perry, Will Downing and Pat Martino. His performance as a bassist has been top shelf, as his memorable work with the late, great Grover Washington Jr., Joe Zawinul, and the Jaco Pastorius Big Band attests.
Welcome back!
Last year was a blast and I am very proud of what our students, family and staff have accomplished in our first year. I hope you had a great summer and had the chance to recharge and get ready for the new school year. I feel honored that you chose to be part of our amazing school! Throughout the year, I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education. I am looking forward to working with you and your children.
I need your help and partnership, as it takes an entire village to raise a child. As parents as partners, we ask a parent/guardian from each family to attend the orientation for your child’s assigned class section. If you have more than one student at Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship Elementary, please only attend one informational session. During this session, we will discuss important information, such as: health, student handbook, parking, drop off/pick up, attendance, and academic standards. Please be advised, some information is updated from year to year.

Careful consideration was given in making class lists for the 2018-2019 school year. Input was taken from our dedicated faculty and staff to balance classrooms both academically and socially. Additionally, student personalities and learning styles were considered when pairing with our exceptional teaching staff. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level.
It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at our elementary school. Information will be sent home regularly in your children’s homework folders. Information, such as our school calendar will appear on our district website and events will be posted on our school’s social media sites. I am looking forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your Dean of Elementary. Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will all contribute to the growth and achievement of all our children.
Warmest Regards,
Dominic Frisina
