Drop a Beat with Ms. Meehan and the SASCCS Atoms!

Monday, October 4th, 2021—Oh what a feeling to walk down the halls of Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship elementary school and hear the glorious sound of music! Earlier this month the Atoms have been working with Ms. Meehan on how to sight-read music, how to count out the beats per measure, and how many beats are in each type of music note.

To learn how to count out the beats in music, students played a variety of percussion instruments, like the ever popular Boomwhacker. These musical geniuses are certainly talented and we look forward to hearing more lovely sounds of music each week.
