Driving Through a Winter Wonderland at SASCCS

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020—Throughout the month of December, Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship school hosted a can and food drive to help those in need, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Food Pantry of Central New York. In addition to the can and food drive, the elementary school hosted its first-ever Winter Wonderland drive through event for the students and their families, and the Syracuse community. The school was decked out with twinkling lights, and holiday music could be heard for blocks. Teachers, faculty and staff all wore festive attire and face masks while waving to their patrons who drove through their Winter Wonderland lights. Guests were able to donate non-perishable items to the can and food drive, as well. We are excited to share that with the generosity of all, we donated 536 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Central New York.
