Atoms Stick a Fork In Hunger with Massive Donation

Wednesday, January 12th, 2022—Throughout December, the Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship elementary school Atoms, teachers, faculty, and staff put positivity in action by working together to 'stick a fork in hunger.' The Atoms hosted a canned food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Central New York.

In 2020, the Atoms set a record of donating 560 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Food Bank of Central New York. Today, we are excited to share that the Atoms have nearly tripled their record with an impressive donation of 2,147 pounds of non-perishable food items donated to the Food Bank of Central New York. These items will help make a difference to many families in need.

At this time, we would like to thank everyone who helped make this event possible and for all the students, teachers, faculty, and staff who contributed to this impressive donation. Way to go, Atoms; we are so proud of you. Together we CAN do this!
